BG’s Giardina third in MOC, North’s White top local girl finisher

Bishop Guertin runner Matt Giardina had another good day as he emerged as the top local runner in Saturday’s Meet of Champions at Alvirne High School.

In the boys race, Giardina (Bishop Guertin) ran a time of 15:28.1 to place third, following up his overall win in the Division I race last week.

Daniel Byrne (Nashua South, 16:39.6) and Cameron Fredette (Merrimack, 16:42.6) finished in 12th and 20th respectively.

As for other top locals in the boys race, Nick Marcotte (Alvirne) finished 21st, Owen Stine (Souhegan) was 26th, Jaren Noorda (Souhegan) was 27th, Carson Fischer (Bishop Guertin) finished 33rd, Samuel Prescott (Bishop Guertin) was 35th, Finley Irvine (Souhegan) finished 37th and Taloosh Anderson (Souhegan) ended the day in 38th.

Top local finishers in the girls race were Laura White (Nashua North) in 29th, Emma Jarnagin (Souhegan) in 30th, Anna Fondakowski (Bishop Guertin) in 33rd and Stephanie Svendsen (Souhegan) ended her day in 39th.
