It took just a week for the Merrimack High School football team to get over a tough loss.
The Tomahawks were routed by likely West Conference champion Nashua North a week ago, but Saturday they took it out on the Goffstown Grizzlies with a resounding 44-7 win.
It was another big day for Merrimack back Reimello Hyde, who had four total touchdowns, including at long kickoff return.
With the win, Merrimack improves to 5-2 in Division I, 5-3 overall, and are a near-certain playoff team in Division I.
As local teams have discovered, it’s been a tough season for Goffstown, which fell to 0-8. The Grizzlies will be headed to Stellos Stadium next Friday night to take on Nashua South.
Merrimack, meanwhile, will be at Bedford on Friday night.
