Tuesday was a good day to be a Bronco as the Alvirne boys soccer team snapped a long losing streak, and the girls won in double overtime. It was a good day to be named Boudreau as two Boudreaus were prevalent in games for the Bronco and Bishop Guertin girls.

Here’s the rundown:

BOYS SOCCER

ALVIRNE 4, DOVER 3

The Broncos (3-12) grab a close win to break their eight game losing streak. Goals were scored by Derek Boulanger, Shane Plumley, Alex Valenzuela and Sameer Murthy. Alvirne visits Salem on Thursday.

HANOVER 6, BISHOP GUERTIN 0

The Cardinals (8-7-1) get shutout on the road Tuesday afternoon. BG hosts Bedford on Thursday.

GIRLS SOCCER

BISHOP GUERTIN 5, HANOVER 0

Katie Boudreau had two goals to pace the scoring as the Cardinals romped over the Bears at Stellos Stadium for their eighth straight to improve to 13-1-1.

Other goal scorers included Renee LeBlanc, Brooke Paquette, and Martha Lord. Assists on the day went to Paquette (two), Alexa Peseridis, Kate Daley, and Kendra Haley.

The Cards will wrap up the regular season on Friday at Bedford at 7 p.m., a rematch of last year’s Division I finals.

MERRIMACK 3, GOFFSTOWN 1

Cara Sullivan, Alex Therrien and Caila Scully each scored goals to get the Tomahawks (10-4-1) past the Grizzlies. Kailey Dillion and Lucy Cote added assists. Molly Perkins held down the fort securing 18 saves.

Merrimack hosts South on Friday.

ALVIRNE 2, DOVER 1 (2 OT)

Paige Boudreau got her 17th goal of the season and second of the game with about two minutes left in the second overtime as the Broncos improved to 8-6.

It was her second OT winner of the season.

Both goals Tuesday were assisted by Lyla Davis. Paige McKinley had 15 saves in net in front of a defense that played well on a soggy field.

The Broncos are at Nashua North today at 4 p.m. at Stellos.

MILFORD 6, KENNETT 0

The Spartans end the regular season with their 10th straight win. Ava Hutcheons (two goals), Marissa Sage, Alina St. George, Keely Giordono and Hannah Wood all found the back of the net. Addi Hopkins and Kate Handen led the defensive unit.

Milford sits at 12-3-1 as they await the playoffs.

SOUHEGAN 1, LEBANON 0 (OT)

Greta Caulton willed her way through the Lebanon mid and back line slotting the winning goal top left within one minute of overtime.

Caulton, Alexis Yakovakis, Nora Lin, Destiny Reynolds and Nicole Mercier were celebrated on Senior Night. Souhegan visits Kennett on Friday.
