The rain will certainly limit the local high school schedule, which can be busy sometimes. For example, the Nashua North-Alvirne girls soccer game was rescheduled to Oct. 19.

But a couple of key games were played:

BOYS SOCCER

NASHUA SOUTH 2, KEENE 1

The Panthers (12-3) pick up their fourth win in a row. Santi Somorrostro and Joona Hantula both scored goals. South hosts Merrimack on October 20.

FIELD HOCKEY

SOUHEGAN 2, PELHAM 1

Despite a game-tying goal by Pelham’s Brooke Slaton, the Sabers prevailed to finish the regular season unbeaten at 13-0-1 and will most likely have a first-round bye in the Division II tourney, guaranteed to be one of the top two seeds.

MILFORD 1, SANBORN 1

The Spartans end their season with a record of 1-10-3.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

CAMPBELL 3, MANCHESTER CENTRAL 0

The Cougars (9-2) defeat Central by the scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-13. Campbell was led by Kristina Castellano (four kills, two aces, dig), Madison Bruner (seven kills, five aces, block), Sofia McPherson (19 assists, six aces) and Haley Swanson (six kills). Campbell hosts Kingswood on Monday.
