The state team tennis tournaments start next week and a lot of eyes are going to be on the Nashua High School South boys tennis team, as they won their 12th straight match on Saturday to wind up the regular season.
Nashua South boys lacrosse won its 12th game of the season also on Saturday, while the Merrimack softball team snapped a three-game skid with a win.
And of course, what would a spring Saturday be without local track and field, with some top performances by locals in both the Londonderry and ConVal Invitationals as a tuneup for next weekend’s Division championships.
Not everyone beat the heat; Alvirne and Milford weren’t able to play their scheduled morning Division II girls tennis showdown (both are 11-2) in Hudson due to wet courts from Friday night’s rain, but will try again this morning at 9.
