It’s hard to imagine a Tuesday being more eventful during a high school spring season than yesterday.

Should we begin with Bishop Guertin’s Evan Kaplo and his multiple homer-RBI day at Concord? Or HB’s Kailey Disco’s strikeout total vs. Pelham at Rivier University? Or the fact, on the down side, both the Bishop Guertin boys and girls lacrosse teams lost on the same day to out of state opponents.

Or the Souhegan boys and Milford girls winning the Southern Cluster Meet in Amherst?

Either way, it’s all here for you to digest:

BASEBALL

BISHOP GUERTIN 15, CONCORD 3

The Cards improved to 9-7, with Evan Kaplo homering twice and driving in a whopping 9 RBIs.

Brandon Metivier went 2 for 2 with an RBI, two stolen bases and four runs scored. Luke Anderson went 3 for 4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. All this made it easier for Jake Boudreau on the mound, as he allowed two earned runs on six hits while fanning five over six innings.

Guertin hosts Goffstown today at Holman Stadium.

NASHUA SOUTH 7, SALEM 5

The Panthers got a great night from River Hart in improving to 9-5, as the senior celebrated Senior Night with a double, triple and two stolen bases.

Isaiah Hedquist went 2 for 3 while Albert De La Rosa went 1 for 4 with a double.

The Panthers visit Alvirne today.

TRINITY 8, NASHUA NORTH 3

The Titans fell to 7-8 despite two RBIs from Ryan Bourgeois, who along with Derek Finlay went 2 for 4.

North takes on Bishop Guertin Thursday night at Holman Stadium.

BEDFORD 8, ALVIRNE 1

Jake Dufou was a bright spot for the Broncos a tough one, as he had two hits, two stolen bases, one run, and an outstanding catch in center field.

Alvirne

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 22, PELHAM 0

The Cavaliers (11-1) possibly made a statement as they collected 20 hits including a grad slam by freshman Eoin Sheehey.

Charlie Hale got the win on the mound, tossing five scoreless innings of two-hit ball, striking out 10 and walking one. He also went 4 for 4 with three RBIs.

HB is at Merrimack Valley today. Pelham fell to 5-8.

OYSTER RIVER 9, MILFORD 7

The Spartans were down six in the second inning, but their rally fell short, snapping their three game winning streak. Jake Lammi and Chris Bedard had multiple hits, Lammi going 3 for 4.

Damian Philbrick took the loss on the mound for the 3-9 Spartans. Lando Pierce pitched three innings of one hit relief to keep Milford, which hosts Pelham today, in the game.

SOFTBALL

MANCHESTER WEST-TRINITY 13, NASHUA NORTH 3

The 0-13 Titans got two singles and an RBI from Mack Brady and an RBI triple by Taylor Joyal but it wasn’t enough. Sam Small (two singles), Trinity Quinto (single), Sam Hall (single, RBI), Cailin Carbonneau (single) and pitcher Tylea Wong (three strikeouts) all played well.

North is at Exeter today.

SALEM 13, NASHUA SOUTH 2

Liz DeRusha led the Panthers (2-13) with three hits, while Morgan Gillis also had a multi-hit day.

Jillian Daley took the loss in the circle despite striking out five for the Panthers, who host Alvirne today.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 8, PELHAM 2

The Cavaliers enjoyed a win as well as the venue, Rivier University’s Raider Diamond. Kailey Disco went 3 for 4 and also struck out 17 in tossing a three-hitter.

Emily Tebbetts had a single and an RBI, while Austyn Krump had two doubles and four RBIs. Savanna Duquette also knocked in a run, as did Ava Imbrogno (single) and Megan Park (single). Aby Wallis had a single as well.

Now 9-3, the Cavs are at Merrimack Valley today.

GIRLS LACROSSE

NEWBURYPORT (Mass.) 12, BISHOP GUERTIN 7

The Cardinals potent offense was stopped in its tracks as Guertin suffered its first loss since 2019.

Guertin’s Rylee Bouvier (four goals) scored the game’s first goal but the Clippers scored three straight to take the lead for good. They led 6-3 at the half and pulled away to a 10-5 lead down the stretch.

Guertin’s other goal scorers included Nat Coutu, Step Reap and Lauren Redfern. Now 12-1-1, the Cards host Pinkerton Thursday night at Stellos.

ACTON-BOXBOROUGH 12, BISHOP GUERTIN 10

The Cards (13-2) suffered their second loss of the season, both coming at the hands of out-of-state teams.

Aiden Laurendeau (three goals on the day) and Tim Kiely gave BG a 2-0 lead but the game was eventually tied at 4 before A-B grabbed a 6-4 lead and kept it. Guertin was within 8-7 but never got the equalizer.

Quinn Cepiel (hat trick) Connor Guibord, Connor Bouvier and Brady Dumont also scored for the Cards, who are at Pinkerton on Thursday.

TIMBERLANE 8, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 6

The Cavaliers (4-9) played tough against Division II contender Timberlane, thanks to three goals by Jake Roy, plus two goals and an assist by Ethan Bender.
