Cavalier wrestlers fall in New England quarterfinals
The local high school wrestling season came to an end Saturday, as two Hollis Brookline wrestlers, Caden Bruseo and Troy Moscatelli, fell in the quarterfinals of the New England Wrestling Championships in Providence, R.I.
Still, it was quite a successful season for the Cavaliers, who won the Division II championship and had two wrestlers reach the New England quarters.
Bruseo at 113 lost to Miles Darling of Essex Tech/Masco Co-op by fall at 41 seconds. He also fell to Cam Davis of Cranston (R.I.) West, 4-3, in a consolation match. On Friday Bruseo beat Michael Boulanger of Milford, Mass. 4-3 in the round of 16 to reach the quarters.
Also, Moscatelli, wrestling at 152, fell to Spencer LeClair of Bowdoinham, Me. (Mt. Ararat/Brunswick ) by a 13-1 major decision. He also fell in the consolation round by fall to Jonathan Davila of Andover (Mass.)
On Friday he defeated Lucas Coleman of Fairfield, Conn. 13-9 in the Round of 16.
