By Tom King - Staff Writer | Feb 16, 2022

The Campbell boys basketball team is in a groove, at the perfect time.

The No. 4 Cougars topped No. 13 Belmont, 65-52, in the Division III preliminary round on Tuesday night.

Campbell has now won nine straight, and was in control all night. The Cougars led 9-4 after one, 25-18 at the half and expanded the lead to take a 42-28 advantage into the final eight minutes.

Colton Martel led the Cougars with 28 points while Brody Mills added 20.

Campbell, now 15-3, will host No. 4 White Mountains in Friday’s quarterfinals, presumably at 7 p.m.
