Snow, sleet and ice is certainly not nice, not when it comes to trying to get in the final games of the high school basketball regular season for Division I and II teams.
The high school sports slate was wiped out by Friday’s storm, with most games rescheduled to today and a couple for Sunday.
In boys hoop, you’ll have to skip the Saturday morning cartoons if you want to see Nashua North play as they will now host the Lancers of Londonderry at 10 a.m.at Titans Gym.
Nashua South will be at Pinkerton at 1 p.m., while Merrimack hosts Trinity at noon. Goffstown will be at Bishop Guertin at 6 p.m.
That game will be the second half of a girls-boys doubleheader at the Colligadome, as the BG girls will host Cicero North Syracuse at 4 p.m. That game had to be rescheduled due to last weekend’s storm and was then changed again from a 7 p.m. game to 4.
In other girls games originally slated for last night, Nashua South will host Pinkerton at noon, Nashua North will conclude its season at Londonderry at 3 p.m., while tourney-bound Alvirne hosts Manchester Memorial at 4:30. In Division II, Souhegan wraps up the regular season at home vs. Laconia at 4 p.m.
In Divsion III, Campbell’s boys game vs. Prospect Mountain was cancelled.
There are two games Sunday, the absolute last day to play for Division I and II teams before the pairings come out on Monday. The BG girls will play again at 3 p.m. at Goffstown to end the regular season for both.
