Storm wrecks Friday hoop but sets up busy Saturday

The winter storm Friday forced postponements of most, if not all of the local scheduled high school basketball action.

Instead, many games were moved to today. In boys basketball, Bishop Guertin will host Windham at 3:30 p.m., while Nashua South hosts Manchester Central at 1 p.m. Also today, Merrimack is at Keene at 2 p.m.

Also, the Souhegan-Hollis Brookline boys hoop game, already scheduled for Saturday, was moved from HB to Souhegan, and the time is listed as 3:30 p.m.

The Nashua North boys hoop game at Manchester Memorial was postponed until Thursday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

In girls hoop, Nashua South’s game at Manchester Central is now today at noon. Milford’s game at Laconia is today at 1 p.m. Also, the Merrimack girls are now hosting Keene at 1:30 p.m. today.

Nashua North’s game at home vs. Manchester Memorial was moved to Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Campbell’s girls game at Monadnock Regional was moved to Monday, Jan. 17.

Also, note that tonight’s 5:30 p.m. game between the Bishop Guertin girls and Wachusett Regional will be played at Emmanuel College in Boston.

Also, the Nashua Hall of Fame wrestling tourney at South was cancelled but Hollis Brookline will instead have an eight-team tournament starting at 9 a.m.
