Welcome to the club, Souhegan High School football.

The club of local playoff teams, which will have four members next week.

The Sabers, by virtue of their 44-8 pasting of John Stark in Weare and Manchester West’s 34-14 loss at Bow, join Bishop Guertin (Division I), fellow Divison II contender Milford, and Divsion III’s Campbell as the area’s only teams left practicing next week.

Bishop Guertin will be facing Salem next Saturday, while 6-2 Milford, it appears, will host Hanover (6-3) and the defending champion Sabers (5-3) will have to travel to face Lebanon (8-0). All those are quarterfinals, but again, those are unofficial pairings. The official matchups will be announced Monday.

Campbell (7-2) will likely visit 7-1 Trinity in the Division III semifinals next weekend as well. The Cougars beat Laconia Saturday in Litchfield in their regular season finale.

Here’s a look at Saturday’s two games:

Another freshman, Grant Harris, enjoyed a pick six.

Garrett Arnoold had a big day for the Cougars with a defensive touchdown, a kick return for a score, and he also led the team in tackles as the Cougars closed out the regular season in style.
