It’s All-Star Week, with the MLB and Futures Collegiate League just having held their All-Star Games and the CHaD East-West All-Star Football Game ahead on Saturday. So this is a perfect week to make note of the local high school athletes who performed well during the spring season that ended one month ago.

BRANDON HSU, P-INF, HOLLIS BROOKLINE

Pictured above, Hsu was the Division II All-State Player of the Year as well, thanks to his giving up just one earned run on the mound in six appearances (five starts), with a whopping 72 strikeouts. He hit .372 with four homers and will head to the University of Rhode Island in the fall.
