This year, wrestling has been different with a dual meet season and postseason rather than individual weight class champions, so the criteria for the team helped selected by the coaches is a bit different, not necessarily tied soley to weight class.

Rioux was generally regarded as one of the top wrestlers in the state and went undefeated this season, helping to guide the Cardinals to the Division II Dual Meet State Wrestling title.
