Local boys hoop players honored on All-State teams

Several locals were honored recently by being named to the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Associations’s Boys All-State Basketball Team, including members of the Division I state champion Bishop Guertin High School squad.

But the top local had to be senior guard Curtis Harris-Lopez of Nashua North, who was the only local First Team player in all four divisions, and also was on the Division I All-Defensive team.

Bishop Guertin’s Nate Kane was an Honorable Mention in Division I but also won the Jack Ford Award.

North’s Sam McElliott joined Cardinal Dylan Santosuosso on the Division I Second Team.

In addition to Kane, BG’s John Sullivan , Nashua South’s Cody Rochileau, Merrimack’s Jack Tarleton and Alvirne’s tandem of Brendan Graham and Liam O’Neil were Honorable Mentions in Division I.

In Division II, the late Dan Murray of Milford was honored as Coach of the Year, with his assistant, Don Gutterson, named Sub Varsity Coach of the Year. Gutterson took over for Murray after the longtime Spartans coach died suddenly in early February.

Players Rob Haytayan and Matt Dias of , Hollis Brookline plus Ryon Constable of Milford were Division II Honorable Mentions.

The only other All-State player was Campbell’s Dylan Rice, named to the Division III Second Team.
