HS Roundup: Saber-Titans fall in OT; ‘Hawks bowl past HB
NASHUA — The Nashua High School North-Souhegan hockey team has had a flair for the dramatic at times this season.
Unfortunately, that didn’t work for the Saber-Titans on Saturday with a 6-5 overtime loss to Bishop Brady in the regular season finale.
N-S (4-4) battled from deficits of 3-0, 4-3, and 5-4 but the Green Giants’ 9 ruined their effort with a goal with just over four minutes left in the sudden death session.
The locals got two goals from Mike Dodge. Ethan Gaffney had a goal and two assists, his second assist coming on Chris Sweester’s game-tying goal at 13:05 of the third period.
Peter Lennox also got a goal for the Saber-Titans, who had assists from Chris Weeden, Chase McBride and Will Dodge.
Brady got two goals and two assists from Ben Mordarski.
North-Souhegan now hits the road on Wednesday to face Keene in the prelims of the Divison I tournament

The Kings returned to action after a two week pause with a tough road tourney tuneup loss late Saturday as the Blackbirds got two goals each from Joel Beard and Noah Parrelli.
South-Pelham opens up its tourney hopes with a prelim game vs. the region’s top seed, Bishop Guertin, Wednesday at 3:30 at Hudson’s Cyclones Arena.

Chase Morin led the Tomahawks with a 323 over two games with a 161.5 average while Ryan Church had a 313 over two games with a 156.5 average.
Mason Anketell with a 285 over two games and a 142.5 average; Maxwell Townend with a 251 over two games 125.5 average.
Next Saturday teams will compete in the regional playoff at 9 a.m. at Merrimack Ten Pin.
