Cougar girls improve to 7-2 with win over Derryfield
One local girls high school team enjoyed the start of school vacation, the other did not.
The Campbell girls basketball team topped Derryfield, continuing its winning ways on Monday.
Meanwhile, it was a tough visit to Exeter for the Souhegan girls hockey team.
Here’s a rundown of Monday’s otherwise quiet day:

The Cougars improves to 7-2 as Karleigh Schultz led the way with 19 points, 18 rebounds and seven steals. Tori Allen contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The game started off with the Cougars jumping out to a 10-2 lead and taking advantage of three 3-pointers by Maddie Davis.
Campbell closes out the regular season Friday at Manchester West and then the Cougars host a Divison III tourney prelim round game on Thursday, March 4.

The Cougars played hard but ran into trouble by the halfway point of the fourth quarter after leading 28-25 at halftime. Dylan Rice had 15 points, but Colton Martel had a great night with 19 points, 15 coming on five 3-pointers.

SOUHEGAN 0
The Sabers tough winter continues as they failed to muster enough offense to remain winles (0-7) on the winter.
Souhegan wraps up the regular season vs. Con-Val Conant on Thursday.
MERRIMACK-KEENE TODAY
The Merrimack at Keene hockey game originally scheduled for Monday was postponed due to the inclement weather and will be played today at 1:30 at the Keene Ice Arena.
