It’s definitely a winter high school basketball season unlike any other.

How many times, with a week to go in the regular season, do you already know who you will face or likely face in the state basketball tournament?

With the tournament open and matched up with a blind draw in cohort groups due to the pandemic – as was done in the fall – the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association released the basketball pairings on Friday.

Here’s a look at how everyone locally is matched up:

BOYS BASKETBALL

In Division I, all the teams are together except Merrimack. The Tomahawks are in Region Three with Pinkerton, Timberlane, Salem, Londonderry and Windham. They have a prelim on Thursday, March 4 vs. the Windham-Timberlane play-in winner.

In Region Four, Bishop Guertin will host Nashua South on Monday, March 1 in a play-in game, the winner going to Nashua North on March 4. Alvirne will travel to Keene on March 4. Those prelim round winners will meet in the quarters on Saturday, March 6.

In Division II, all the locals are in Region Two. Souhegan will host Manchester West in a play-in on March 1, the winner going to Hollis Brookline on Thursday, March 4. Milford will host Pelham in that region’s other prelim the same night. The prelim winners meet in the regional final (Divison II quarters) on Saturday March 6.

Campbell is in Division III’s Region Four and will host Raymond in a prelim on Wednesday, March 3, the winner advancing to the next round on March 6.

Wilton-Lyndeborough, in Divison IV’s Region Two, will visit Mount Royal on March 1, the winner headed to Sunapee in the prelims on March 3, the regional finals (overall quarters) on March 6.

The semis in all divisions are on Wednesday, March 10 with the finals on Saturday, March 13 at locations to be determined.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

In Divison I’s Region, Nashua South will host Alvirne in a play-in on Tuesday, March 2, with the winner facing Bishop Guertin at BG on Friday, March 5.

Meanwhile, in another prelim on March 5, Nashua North will host Keene.

In Regon Three, Merrimack will host either Pinkerton or Windham on March 5. All the Regional Finals (overall quarters) are Sunday, March 7.

In Division II, in Region Two, Souhegan visits Manchester West on Tuesday, March 2 in a play-in, the winner traveling to Pelham on March 5. That same night Hollis Brookline will host Milford. The winners play in the Regional Finals on Sunday, March 7.

Campbell in Division III will host either Raymond or St. Thomas on Friday, March 5 in the prelims, and if they win that they would host the Regional Finals on Sunday March 7.

The semifinals in all divisons are on Thursday, March 11 and the finals on Sunday, March 14, all at sites to be determined.
