By Tom King - Staff Writer | Oct 20, 2020

Break up the Panthers.

No one was saying that about the Nashua High School girls volleyball team a couple of weeks ago after their 0-5 start, but they may be now.

South won its fourth in a row on Monday night, topping Bishopg Guertin, 3-1.

The Panthers won the first two sets, 25-21, 25-19, before Guertin took the third, 25-23. But they edged the Cards (x-x) 25-22 in the fourth set to win.

Anne Sherman was huge for South with 28 assists and six digs, while Olivia Johnson had 11 digs and six aces. Other keys for the Panthers included Natalie Boyle (10 kills, six digs), Alexis Farrell, (five kills, five blocks), and Kim Hendrick (seven kills, four aces).

For the Cards, Maddy Keating had five aces, eight kills and 12 digs, while Emma Charron (16 digs), Julia Foster (14 assists, six digs) and Meghan Stack (five kills, two blocks) also played well.

The two teams meet again on Wednesday at South’s Belanger Gym.
