It was splitsville on Saturday for North, South teams

The Nashua North vs. South Week that opened the fall season is now complete.

It was another busy Saturday that saw the Titans and Panthers each grab two wins

The North girls got their second soccer win, while South boys did the same, both by 2-0 scores. Then the North boys and South girls cross country teams each got wins in rematches, as girls cross country produced the first Panther-Titan split of the week.

Here’s a look at Saturday’s rematches:

GIRLS SOCCER

NASHUA NORTH 2,

NASHUA SOUTH 0

The Titans twice used the connection between Emilee Deleo and Ari Dumaine, as Dumaine scored twice off Deleo corner kicks. Dumaine headed in a Deleo corner late in the first half.

Dumaine scored again in the second half, this time after a Deleo corner had bounced off a few players only to land at Dumaine’s feet, who surprised Panthers keeper Haleigh Swabowicz with a winner to the left corner.

The Panthers were paced by Soraya Ross, Juliana Martin and Camille Michon offensively, while Liley Vogel played well in front of Swabowicz.

The Panthers kept the pressure up in the second half but North, meanwhile, got good defensive work from Ashley Goh, Kaitlyn Laurendi, and Lily Brooks in front of goalies Tori Conrad and Abbey Lanier.

BOYS SOCCER

NASHUA SOUTH 2,

NASHUA NORTH 0

Goals by Jose Ochoa and Matt Keisling gave South the win, while Panthers Josue Martinez, Jesse Hantula, and Ryan Hadouche also played well.

Playing well in defeate for the Titans were mdfielders Preston Thompson and Quinn Hilger, and Dan Guzman and Stephen Norris on defense in front of keeper Simon Costa, who had nine saves.

South is now 2-0 while the Titans fell to 0-2.

CROSS COUNTRY

NORTH BOYS 20,

SOUTH BOYS 35

The Titans took four of the top five spots, with James Reel coming in first at 17:09.71, ahead of South’s Jesse Bordelon (17:13.15).

North then took the next three spots – Robert Canaway (17:18.82), Nikolas Drew (17:57.01), and Matthew Robert (18:11.27) – before South’s Connor Theodore was sixth in 18:20.87.

Andrew LaFlamme completed the North scoring in seventh, while South’s Michael Rzasa, Juho Hahto and Alex Thibeault took places eight through 10.

SOUTH GIRLS 21,

NORTH 34

The Panthers got revenge for Tuesday’s loss, taking spots two through five after North’s Dantia Braccio won her second race of the week in 19:46.40.

But the Panthers then turned it on with Nadez Zhecheva (20:10.89), Meghan Conway (20:38.71), Jenna Lecklider (21:12.42), and Emely Melendez (21:35.42) all cross the finish line next.

Titan Mariana Santos ended the South streak in sixth (21:50.69), but Panther Brielle Ducharme clinched things in 22:00.51, good for seventh. Titans Erin Sung, Annika Hayden, and Caroline Dobens rounded out the top 10 in that order.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 4,

CAMPBELL 2

The Cavaliers’ Paige Magnuszewski snapped a 2-2 tie with a goal at the 29 minute mark as HB improved to 2-0.

Renee LeBlanc had two goals and two assists, while Rachel Brackett also had a goal. Other assists went to Sofia Walle and Nicole Heiter.

Other HB impact players included Madeline Boudreau and Lauren Holt at midfield while keeper Maggie Crooks had nine saves.

The host Cougars got goals by Josie Oberto and Gabby Kim-Levesque. They also got great games from Hanna Keane, Emily Cooper, Abby Buxton and Karleigh Schultz.

BOYS SOCCER

SOUHEGAN 0,

MILFORD 0 (2 OT)

Souhegan keeper Jake Morrisette (11 saves) and his Milford counterpart Riley Hansen (eight saves) each pitched shutouts through 80 minutes of regulation and two overtimes.

Ethan Lim provided some late heroics for the Sabers clearing the ball off the goal line in what was a highly intense game.

Milford is 1-0-1 while the Sabers are 0-1-1.

WILTON LYNDEBOROUGH 9,

CONANT 0

After tying Conant 1-1 earlier in the week, the Warriors (1-0-1) exploded offensively.

Matt Hadley had a hat trick, while Paul VanBlarigan and Austin Kimball got two goals each. Sean Brennan and Troy Brennan also scored a goal each and Sam Townsend had two assists.

FIELD HOCKEY

SOUHEGAN 6,

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 0

The Division II power Sabers flexed their muscles, paced by Nicole O’Rourke’s hat trick.

Catie Summers, Cari Mastergeorge and Ava VanBallegooyen each had single tallies for the unbeaten winners. Annie Raduazzo had four saves in the Souhegan goal.
