Cavalier and Titan golfers triumph; South takes third

The Hollis Brookline High School boys golf team continued its good fall with a tri-meet win on Thursday.

The Cavaliers (198), behind co-medalist Cayden Plummer’s two-over 37, topped locals Milford (228) and Alvirne (229) at Overlook in Hollis.

Plummer shared those top honors wth Alvirne’s Noah Leclair. The Cavs’ Matt Dias shot a 38 and Garrett Sturges a 39. Grady Sturges and Colin MacDonald each had a 42 for the Cavs.

The Spartans, meanwhile, were paced by Jacob Dube and Brady Hansen, each with a 44, while Corey Girouard had a 46 and Holden Bertancini and Landon Pierce with 47 each.

After Leclair, the Broncos got a 42 from Ashton Meuse, while Alex Blais had a 48 and Ethan Doran a 49.

NASHUA NORTH 195,

MERRIMACK 238

The Titans got a match medalist 33 from Bryce Zimmerman to edge Concord (200) with the Tomahawks a distant third at Souhegan Woods.

Also for the Titans, Eva Gonzales had a 39 while Chris McQuinn (40), Tom Kelly (41), Spenser Champagne (42) and Jack Sullivan (44) helped out.

Merrimack was paced by Hunter Bailey’s 45, Cameron Higham and Ryan Rezenedes (47 each) and Connor Patch (49).

NASHUA SOUTH THIRD

The Panthers totaled 240, just edging Manchester Memorial (241) but well behind match winner Timberlane’s 202 and Keene’s 215 at Atkinson Country Club.

Stephen Robbe led South with a 43, while Grace Conard had a 45 and Emma Kobs a 48. Josh Gao (51), Cam Cole (53) and Nate Campbell (53) also helped out the Panthers.

Timberlane’s Jack Pepin was the medalist with an even par 36.
