Reminder: Stadiums will be closed for senior recognition

By Tom King - Staff Writer | Apr 30, 2020

NASHUA – The Nashua Athletic Department has issued a reminder concerning the “Light Up The Night For The Class of 2020” that is taking place next Wednesday:

Do not try to get into either Stellos or Holman Stadium.

Lights are scheduled to be turned on next Wednesday, May 6 at 8:20 p.m. for 20 minutes at both Stellos Stadium and Holman Stadium to honor the senior classes at both Nashua High School North and South – not just student athletes.

However, the athletic department is reminding people that neither facility will be open. They will be closed to the public, locked with only a city attendant there to turn the lights on and then off after the 20 minutes are up.

“For clarification as we have received many questions, this is NOT an event to attend,” said a statement issued on the Nashua Athletics twitter feed. “Neither facility will be open.

“The lights will be on at both stadiums as a symbol to recognize all seniors to congratulate them and to wish them well in their endeavors after high school.”
