When the NHIAA cancelled the spring season, all eyes turned to the fall, and Nashua athletic director Lisa Gingras and others mentioned that it’s not September that is the first month in question, it will be August, when teams train, and practice begins around the middle of the month.

In fact, regular season soccer would start at the end of August – as early as August 28, and field hockey begins regular season play on Aug. 31. The first regular season high school football games are set for Friday, Sept. 4, but there will be scrimmages scheduled for the couple of weeks leading up to that.

“Hopefully we can get in to our facilities so the athletes can properly get ready for their seasons,” Gingras said. “We don’t want to see anyone get injured.”
