Several locals named to New Hampshire Shrine team

Telegraph file photo by TOM KING Bishop Guertin lineman Nick Connerty was one of several locals named to the New Hampshire Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl team.

Several locals were named to the 67th annual New Hampshire Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl squad that will be coached by Alvirne head football coach Tarek Rothe.

The game will take place at Castleton (Vt.) University on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Locals named to the team were Nashua North lineman Ruben De Jesus Munoz, Nashua South lineman Glen Preston, Bishop Guertin linemen Nick Connerty and quarterback Hayden Moses, Alvirne lineman Tommy Keegan as well as Broncos safety/receiver Grady Hudson, Milford long snapper Kyle Forsley,

Campbell defensive back/wide receiver Cam Barrett and defensive tackle Paul Taraszuk, and Merrimack two-way linemen Cole Chamberlain and Noah Clark.

The teams and coaches will gather for an informational meeting this Sunday at 10 a.m.at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
