A close win and some tough losses for local skaters

Saturday’s late boys hockey games all went down to the wire for local high school teams:

NASHUA NORTH-SOUHEGAN 3,

ALVIRNE-MILFORD 2 (OT)

Jack Belter had two goals for the Saber-Titans, including the overtime game winner. Chris Weeden had the other goal for the winners, who are now 5-7-1 and are at Winnacunnet tonight at 8:15 at Phillips Exeter.

The hard-luck Admirals fell to 2-12 and visit St. Thomas on Wednesday.

LONDONDERRY 5,

NASHUA SOUTH-PELHAM 4 (OT)

The Lancers scored five second period goals at Conway Arena to sink the Kings to 4-10. South-Pelham got a goal and two assists from Jake Guerriero, a goal and an assist each from John Pinksten, and Chris Skelley, and a goal from Cam Cole. Brandon Rheaume had three assists while Nate Serrentino had 41 saves in goal for the Kings, who are at Manchester Memorial on Wednesday.

BERLIN-GORHAM 3,

HOLLIS BROOKLINE-DERRYFIELD 2 (OT)

The Warriors led 2-0 but gave up the game-tying goal with 58 seconds left and eventually fell to 9-4 in Division III. The Warriors next visit ConVal-Conant on Wednesday.
