Saber-Titans snap streak; Kings not so lucky

Jack Belter and Michael Dodge each had two goals as the Saber-Titans snapped a five game losing streak to improve to 2-6-1.

Cam Gagne and Ryan Ducharme scored their first ever high school goals as the locals outshot winless Manchester 36-16.

North-Souhegan takes on Alvirne-Milford on Wednesday at 6:10 p.m. at Conway Arena.

PINKERTON 5,

NASHUA SOUTH-PELHAM 0

The Kings tough season continued as they were shut out at Conway Arena to fall to 2-7. Goalie Nate Serrentino had 26 saves but the Astros’ Mason Drouin had a hat trick.

South-Pelham visits Bishop Brady on Wednesday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

PORTSMOUTH 44,

NASHUA NORTH 25

The visiting Titans ran into a tough Clippers defense that held them scoreless for 12 minutes at one point. Bianca Gershgorin had eight points while Lillian Brooks added five and Sam Canto four for the Titans (2-6).

North is right back at it tonight at home vs. Dover at 6:30

MILFORD DOES WELL

The Spartans had some good performances in a qualifying meet at the University of New Hampshire, led by Renee Wilson’s first in the long jump and fourth in the 300, plus second place finishes by Sarah Sawyer in the long jump (1-10, personal best) and Robyn Krafft (shot put). Lis Rodil (600) and Brooke Lane (1500) took fifths.

Caleb Korthals was fourth in the 1500.

MERRIMACK GIRLS

IMPROVE IN QUALIFYING MEET

Camryn Gaumont finished fourth in the 600 while Adele Alexander also finished fourth in the 1500 for the Tomahawks. Mary Vance finished fourth in the 55 dash, fifth in the high jump and ran on the third place 4x160m relay team.

Ally O’Brien had the sixth fastest 55 dash time (personal best) and finished seventh in the long jump with a personal best. The 4x160m relay team that finished 3rd included; Jo Koroma, Vance, Syndey Ogbunamiri, and Melanie Hutchinson,
