High School Highlights: BG boys hoop tops Spaulding

Boys basketball

Bishop Guertin 60, Spaulding 45

The Cardinals (7-1) won their sixth straight game on Tuesday night. Guertin’s Dylan Santosuosso and Spaulding’s Jared Gooley put on a shooting clinic each scoring 20 points. Mason Carroll chipped in 15 points and John Sullivan had four blocks for the locals. Guertin visits Nashua North on Friday.

Wilton-Lynde. 66,

Concord Christian 41

The Warriors (4-6) secure a road win, after a strong 23 point performance from Jack Schwab. Sean Brennan (12 points) and Kyler Tremblay (10 points) contributed to the offense for the Warriors. WLC

visits Mount Royal on Friday.

Campbell 64, Pelham 54

The Cougars (5-4) went into Pelham on Tuesday night, and came out with a win against the Division II power.

Girls basketball

Nashua North 44,

dover 37

The Titans (3-6) executed down the stretch to pull out a win at home. Grace Cardin collected 14 points and Lilly Brooks had 10. Jordyn Choate led the defensive unit with 10 rebounds. North visits BG on Thursday.

Merrimack 44,

trinity 33

The Tomahawks (10-0) winning streak reaches double digits after a strong home win. Merrimack made a total of 10 field goals, including five from beyond the arc, while going 18-30 from the free throw line. Theresa Twardosky led the team with 17 points and Shannon Sadhwani added seven. Merrimack travels to Portsmouth on Friday.

Memorial 58,

Nashua South 42

The losing streak continues for the Panthers (4-5) as it reaches four games. Kirsten McIntire had a team high seven points; while Maya Rioux, Aryanna Murray, Julianna Martin and Bailey Morin had six each. South is at Londonderry on

Friday.

Hollis Brookline 67,

Milford 19

Nobody was standing in the way of Amanda Robins, as she ripped down 15 rebounds and tallied 12 points for the Cavs (10-0). Sam Atlas, Maggie Crooks and Cheyenne Colbert had 10 points apiece. Bailey Johnson scored 11 points and Sarah Dobbs added eight for the Spartans (0-9). HB visits Pembroke on Friday and Milford will travel to Spaulding on Thursday.

Pelham 57, Campbell 44

The Cougars (5-6) battled it out with a talented Division II opponent. Campbell was down 26-19 at the half, then Pelham went on a run that pushed the lead to 19. Tori Allen and Karleigh Schultz (eight rebounds and four steals) had 10 points each. Riley Gamache (eight points and four steals) and Kristina Castellano (seven points) played well in the loss. Campbell hosts Gilford on Friday.

Girls hockey

Pinkerton 7,

Bishop Guertin 5

The Cardinals fall to 2-6 after a tough loss to Pinkerton. Lindsay Hult collected her 100th career point. Kate Simpson knocked in two goals, while Brooke Yabroudy and Abigail Richard had one goal each. Guertin visits Bishop Brady-Trinity-West.

Swimming

Nashua North

The Titans girls fell to South at the Battle of the Bridge meet. Aurora Holland, Katie Roscoe, Rhea Mallya and Kat Juris placed third in the 200 medley relay. Claire Hobbs took second in the 200 freestyle, while Holland took runner up in the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle. Juris placed third in the 50 freestyle. Hobbs, Roscoe, Isabella Davidson and Holland placed second in the 200 freestyle relay. Juris won the 100 backstroke and the girls relay of Hobbs, Davidson, Mallya and Juris won to end the evening. The Titan boys defeated South. Top performers were Mario Rodriguez with wins in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Cameron Lee took home wins in the 50 and 100 free. As well, the relay team of White, Ghose, Chea and Lee won the 200 medley relay and the relay team of Lee, Pappas, Roscoe and Rodriguez won the 200 free

relay.

Milford

The Spartans girls lost to Souhegan and defeated Wilton-Lyndeborough, while the Milford boys defeated Souhegan and Wilton-Lyndeborough. Noah McCandless was second in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 freestyle. Andrew Bartolomucci won the 100 fly and the 100 backstroke

Josh Anderson was the winner in the 100 freestyle. Lillian Chappell took wins in the 200 freestyle and the 100 freestyle, while Elaine Danas won the 100 breaststroke.
