Titans, Cavs, Cards, Tomahawks, Spartans all win

It was a good night for most local high school girls volleyball teams, while local field hockey teams had a tough day. Here’s a look:
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
NASHUA NORTH 3,
GOFFSTOWN 0
The Titans warmed up for their Battle of the Bridge match with a 25-11, 25-20, 25-16 sweep to improve to 5-5. Haley Stanton (seven aces, two kills, three digs), Abby Coy (five kills, eight digs, five aces) and Kelsey Laliberte (seven kills) led the way.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3,
MANCHESTER CENTRAL 0
The Cavaliers remain unbeaten (10-0) with a 25-6, 25-13, 25-9 sweep. Ellie Jordan (five aces), Lydia Daskalos (four kills), Emily Sartell (four kills) and Sophie Jordan (11 assists) led the way. HB visits Manchester Memorial on Friday.
BISHOP GUERTIN 3,
ALVIRNE 1
The Cards won the last two sets, 25-16, 25-14 after splitting the first two 25-18, 23-25. Libby Knapp (19 kills, nine aces, 17 digs) andLydia Litvak (10 kills, three blocks) paced the win.
Also helping out were Kristen Coumas (three aces, 24 assists), Meghan Stack (five kills, two blocks) and Dominique Von Muhlenbrock Rodriguez (19 digs) also were keys.
MERRIMACK 3,
MANCHESTER MEMORIAL 0
The Tomahawks improved to 2-8 with a 25-13, 25-10, 25-15 sweep.
Key contibutors included Anna Niezrecki (28 digs), Haley Smethurst (seven kills), Isabella Smith (16 assists) and Grace Lawton (two blocks). Merrimack heads to Alvirne on Friday.
MILFORD 3,
SOUHEGAN 1
The Spartans improved to 9-1 via set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-19, 25-15.
Emma Tronkowski had 21 assists while Kaydee Mann had 19 assists and nine kills to lead the Spartans.
Robyn Kraft (nine kills) and Gabby Monico (14 kills) also played well.
For the Sabers (4-5), key contributors included Lynn Mcnamara (eight kills, two digs), Allie McCall (10 kills, four blocks, four aces), Callie McBride (14 digs), Hannah Carroll (21 assists, two digs), and Katerina Stuopis 14 kills, six digs, two aces)
INTER-LAKES 3,
CAMPBELL 0
The Cougars (6-2) fell to their unbeaten hosts in straight 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 sets. Caedran Sullivan (block, four kills) Jordan Kanaley (two aces, 20 assists, including her 500th career), Catherine Carignan (ace, four kills, three digs) and Elayna Montenero (11 digs) played well.

South jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on two Kirsten McIntire goals (assists to Maddie Sewade and Sarah Signorello) before a Memorial penalty stroke goal changed the game.
Courtney Tello had 12 saves for the Panthers, who face BG next Wednesday at Stellos.
CONCORD 2,
BISHOP GUERTIN 1
The Cards trailed the entire game, with their lone goal coming from Sarah Coyle with just 20 seconds left.
Now 4-5, Guertin visits Merrimack on Friday.

The visiting Cavaliers improved to 5-4-1 with goals by Ethan Smith (Aidan Dufoe assist), Max Burns (from Liam Troddyn), and Troddyn (from Aidan Chretien). Ryan Coutu had six saves in goal, while Andy Basque also played well. HB visits ConVal on Friday.

Colin McCarthy, back from an injury, scored the Cards’ only goal, assisted by Andrew Schott. Michael Poublon played well in goal for the Cards, now 1-7.

NORTH THIRD
The Titans (203) finished behind match winner, 15-1 Exeter (185) and Hanover (196) at Green Meadow to fall to 12-6. Bryce Zimerman led the way with a 36 followed by Eva Gonzales (38), Chris McQuinn (39), Thomas Kelly (44), Brendan McMahon (46) and Spencer Champagne (47).
