Roundup: Wilson hit lifts Souhegan

Baseball

Souhegan 4, ConVal 3

Nick Wilson’s game winning single scoring Dylan Dufour, puts the Sabers in the playoffs. Wilson was stellar on the mound giving up one run and striking out five in six innings. Dylan Trzepacz recorded a double and a RBI to lead the offensive unit. Sam Corbett and Jacob Grassett each made great plays on defense.

Souhegan finishes the regular season 8-9.

Merrimack 11, Salem 5

Cody Pfeifer had a home run and four RBIs in the Tomahawks win Friday night. Jack Goodwin got the win giving up five runs, seven hits and striking out two in four innings. Goodwin also had two runs, three hits and a RBI. Eric Stack added onto the offense scoring two runs and getting two hits. Merrimack ends at 4-14.

Softball

Keene 12, Nashua South 1

Catherine Covert led the offense going 2 for 3 in the Panthers loss. South is 3-15.

Merrimack 3, Salem 2

The Tomahawks take a walk-off win with an Erin Knauer RBI single. Emma Camberlain pitched seven innings, giving up five hits, two runs and striking out four.

Milford 11, Hollis Brookline 1

The Cavaliers take the loss to an undefeated Spartans squad. Kylie Krivis (2 for 3) and Cassidy Pigott (2 for 3, home run) led the Cavs offense. Hollis Brookline ends the regular season at 9-7. Milford finishes at a perfect 16-0.

Souhegan 15,ConVal 3

Olivia Harnish (four hits) went the distance, striking out seven to pick up her first varsity win for the Sabers. Carrie Speer (four hits), Margot Redway (three hits), Lucy Stover (three hits) and Julia Kalinowski (one hit)led the offense on senior night. Souhegan ends the regular season at 12-4.

Campbell 6, Conant 2

Marissa Carignan showed her arm getting the win for the 13-3 Cougars.

Boys Lacrosse

Windham 9, Hollis Brookline 8

After starting their season 11-0, the Cavaliers (11-3) have now lost their last three to end the regular season. Joe MacDonough and Tim Sulin each had hat tricks. Scott Walsh made 10 saves in net.

Souhegan 7, Bedford 5

Curtis Redd scores a hat trick in the Sabers win Friday night. Luke Manning, Luke Civiello, Julian Whittier and Nick Jordan each found the back of the net once. John Lohnes made nine saves between the pipes. Souhegan end the season on an eight game win streak and a 12-5 overall record.

Girls Lacrosse

Laconia 13, Campbell 9

Jocelyn Theriault played great with five goals in the Cougars loss. Brook Stoncius scored two goals, Emma Montenero and Kate Stoncius each added a goal and an assist. Ally Dyac had nine saves in goal. Campbell ends with a 6-11 record.

Boys Volleyball

Pinkerton 3, Bishop Guertin 0

The Cardinals were swept by the Astros 18-25, 22-25, 21-25. Joe Noon had an 11 kill game with four blocks, with DJ Omogrosso adding five kills and two blocks. Guertin falls to 7-9 after the loss.

Souhegan 3, Londonderry 0

Mike Estabrook connected on nine kills, Simon Trombley had three blocks and David Moss had five digs for 7-7 Souhegan.

Hollis Brookline 3, Keene 0

Sander Wimmer and Quintin Wimmer nailed down eight and six kills respectively. Matthew Wojick had five kills and Felix Yang led the defense with nine digs. Hollis Brookline visits John Stark on Tuesday.
