High School Highlights: Merrimack softball tops Bishop Guertin

Merrimack 10,

The Tomahawks chopped 13 hits, led by Brenna Davenport with a homer, two singles, a walk and three RBIs. Jess Trahan had two hits and stole a base. Ashley Turcotte delivered a clutch, two-out RBI double, and Erin Knauer scored twice.

Wilton-Lyndeborough 6,

Hinsdale 2

On a night where she delivered her 200th career hit, Lexi Balam goes 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs to lead the Warriors to victory. Emma Skelly and Abby Dowling each had a pair of hits. Balam struck out 15, allowing three hits and no earned runs on the mound.

Baseball

Bow 4, Milford 1 (9 innings)

Colin Pynn had two hits for the Spartans. Max Fortin and Sam Santaniello each had a hit, with Santaniello scoring the lone run. Kolbe Heiple had an RBI.

Ethan Golden got the start on the mound for Milford. He threw five innings, giving up one run on four hits with four strikeouts.

Girls Lacrosse

Oyster River 21, Alvirne 8

The only Alvirne senior, playing on “Senior Night,” Dominique Milinazzo had all eight Bronco goals. Lara Mallizia had seven saves for Alvirne, which falls to 1-12 with the season finale Friday at ConVal.

Hollis Brookline 22,

Kingswood 3

The Cavaliers mprove to 12-1 with the win as Kelsey Sweeney led with five goals and two assists.

Paisley Broadhurst added four goals and two assists. Tasha White and Abbey Magnuszewski each scored three times. Rachel Cerato added a pair.

Caroline Smith, Reagan Berry, Ellie Maxwell played strong defense in front of winning goalie Olivia Valentine.

Boys Lacrosse

Bishop Guertin 16,

Duxbury (Mass.) 11

Another excursion into the Bay State and another impressive performance by the Cavaliers.

Sean Cameron led the offense with three goals and dished out four assists.

Dawson Clark and Ben Abladian each scored four goals with two assists apiece. Chris Kiely netted a pair of goals, while Joey Lupo, Alex Koutsos and TJ Quigley all had singles for the 14-2 Cards.
