Roundup: Gentry pin locks down mat win for Nashua North

Nashua North 36, Alvirne 30

Dominic Gentry’s first-period pin at 170 pounds locked up the tight victory for the Titans. Brian Mwangi and Andrew Tate each scored wins by fall for North, while Mickey Mathson and Matt Oliver had tight decision wins. Ayden Spencer scored a blazing seven-second pin for Alvirne, while Kyle Clark, Chris Penny and Nick Maniatakos all scored wins by fall for the Broncos.

Bishop Guertin 54, Milford 19

Jesse Brochu. Zach Rioux, Dan Franco, Andrew Ha, Aiden Szewczyk and Nick Connerty posted pins for the Cardinals, who continue to tear up the dual-meet competition. Milford picked up wins by fall from Greg Gagnon and Dominic Goulette, plus decisions by Deacon Currier and Ethan Briggs. Saturday morning, the Cards entertain Pelham and Newport.

Campbell 45, Newport 22

Only five of the 14 weight classes were contested on the mat, and 14-3 Campbell took three of them in the win. David Donnelly and Robert Ladd posted wins by fall, while Brett McInerney cruised to a 7-0 decision at 170 pounds.

Timberlane 59, Nashua South 15

The defending state champion Owls were loaded for bear and had their way with the Panthers.

Boys Hockey

Nashua South-Pelham 3, Bishop Brady 2

Riley Nutter cracked a 2-2 tie in the third to give the Kings the victory. South-Pelham, now 4-6, got a pair of goals from John Pinksten. Chris Skelley dished out a pair of assists, and Joe Moore also had one. Nate Serrentino nailed down the win in goal, turning aside 27 Brady shots.

Kennett 7, Pembroke-Campbell 0

Up in Conway, the hosts broke to a 4-0 lead after one, made it 6-0 through two and never looked back. Pembroke-Campbell falls below .500 at 4-5, while Kennett bumps up to 4-7.
