Matt Lubinski successfully booted the ball from the top of the penalty box, placing it into the far right side of the net, in the 69th minute of play to give Alvirne a 1-0 win over Dover on Friday night.

Nate Gosselin recorded the assist on the play that would hold up as the only goal of the night.

Jake Scholfield stopped five shot for the shutout, while Andrew Teague played tirelessly in the midfield to create Broncos’ scoring opportunities and shut down Green Wave standout Ayalew Binette. Also making his presence known for Alvirne was defenseman Khari Higgins, who stymied the Dover attack repeatedly.
