By Staff | Sep 3, 2014

Alvirne dropped a heartbreaker 2-1 in its season opener, as Manchester rallied from a one-goal deficit with two goals in the final 20 minutes, including Evan MacDonald’s game-winner at the 70 minute mark.

Alvirne sophomore Nate Gosselin scored the Broncos only goal on a penalty kick at 12:53 of the second half. Also playing well for Alvirne were Andrew Teague and Matt Lubinski, while goalie Jake Schofield had 10 saves in defeat.
