Cavs Resume Rain-Shortened Game, Fall to St. Thomas

By Staff | May 31, 2014

On Tuesday, the Cavaliers allowed ten runs in the first inning before their contest against St. Thomas was postponed due to inclement weather. When the teams picked up in the second inning on Saturday, Hollis-Brookline came out swinging. Still, the defecit proved to be too much to overcome as Hollis fell, 17-5.

Trailing 10-0, the Cavaliers (6-10) cut the defecit to five in the second inning. Kelsey Mansfield and Olivia Lukovits each knocked in two runs during the inning.

After pitching in relief on Tuesday, Ashley Skey resumed her duties on Saturday, pitching three innings. She was relieved by Domanique Mills, who originally started the game on Tuesday.
