By Staff | May 31, 2014

Following their early morning match, Campbell travled fifty miles to face off against division foe Somersworth. The Cougars avenged their early-season loss and crushed Somersworth, 11-0, while also locking up the top seed in the Division III playoffs.

Sophomore Kyle Shaw was masterful in his first varsity start, shutting out Somersworth in seven innings of work. He allowed three hits and struck out two.

The Campbell offense got production from the entire lineup, compiling 16 hits. Zach Byers led the way with four hits, three runs scored and an RBI. Bob Baril had two hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. Vinnie Bucci also hit a home run in the victory.

Campbell’s Christian Bourgea, Mike Gray and Tyler Butler each had two hits in the victory.
