Alvirne falls to Manchester Memorial

By Staff | May 27, 2014

Manchester Memorial 6, Alvirne 5

Jacen Hudson had a big day at the plate and a solid one on the mound, but it wasn’t enough, as the Broncos came up short against the Crusaders.

Hudson had a bases-loaded triple to tie the game at 5, and he pitched well in relief, going five innings and allowing one run on three hits. Matt McKinely had two hits, including a double, and Robbie Flohr had a two-run double in the first inning that put Alvirne (8-8) up early. The Broncos had the bases loaded with one out in the sixth, but hit into a double play to end the threat.
