Jason Ferlan pitched a gem, allowing only one earned run over six innings of work as the Cardinals topped Spaulding, 3-2. Ferlan allowed only three hits and two walks while striking out five. Andy Williams earned the save, striking out one in the seventh.

The Bishop Guertin (11-7) offense couldn’t put much together themselves. Shane Nowak led the Cardinals with a pair of hits and an RBI. Andrew Mierzwa provided the other Guertin hit while also scoring two runs.
