Milford already faced an uphill against a tough third-place Portsmouth (9-1) squad. To pile on top of it, the rain certainly didn’t help. The two teams completed one singles match in Portsmouth before moving to the Tennis Barn in Hampton. The Spartans (1-10) would go on to drop their eight straight decision, losing 9-0.

Coach Paul Bois gave credit to his team for persevering through the adversity, stating that the team played well despite not scoring much.
