LeBron James signs deal with Philadelphia 76ers

LeBron James announced this morning he is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers to close out his career in an attempt to win one more championship.

James said in a statement he thought he was done with basketball after the Lakers season ended in the playoffs. But the last couple of months rejuvinated him and he signed a two-year, $8 million deal with a player option.

“I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team and I am so excited to energize a new fan base and start this incredible journey one last time,” James said on X. “Thank you LA. Miami I’ll forever love and Northeast Ohio will always home!”

The Sixers now boast a star-studded team with James, former Celtic Jaylen Brown,All-NBA guard Tyrese Maxey, former MVP center Joel Embiid and rising star guar VJ Edgecombe.
