Late last June, N’Keal Harry requested that the New England Patriots trade him.

A year later, he got his wish.

The Patriots, according to an NFL Network report, have dealt the former first round draft choice, their first round pick in the 2019 draft, to the Chicago Bears. In exchange, the Patriots will get Chicago’s seventh round pick in the 2024 draft — not this year’s draft.

Harry was a huge bust in his three seasons with New England, with just 57 catches for 598 yards and four TDs as the No. 25 overall ;pick out of Arizona State. He had two straight 1,000-yard seasons at ASU, but his 6-4, 225 pound stature never translated to much for the Patriots.

The Bears have a group of of basically unproven receivers, and Harry will just add to that mix.

Meanwhile, the Patriots drafted Tyquan Thornton and also traded for former Dolphin DeVante Parker, to go with last year’s free agent signings Kendrick Bourne and Nelson Agholor, and veteran Jakobi Meyers. There was simply no room for an underperforming Harry.
