Gerrymandering is alive and well in New Hampshire. The Senate redistricting map, which now goes to Gov. Chris Sununu for approval creates a 2-to-1 advantage of one political party over another; this in a state considered to have approximately equal numbers of Democratic and Republican voters.

If our governor decides to approve this map, one political party will have control over which laws will be passed in the Legislature, as well as the power to override all the governor’s vetoes, for the next 10 years. This is not democracy, and it is certainly not balanced, competitive redistricting.

The following people from the following Senate districts are calling on Sununu to veto the Senate redistricting map (SB 240), passed against the will of the overwhelming majority of New Hampshire citizens who have been calling for fair, non-partisan redistricting maps:
