Our voices will be heard not stifled
I would like to thank the following candidates who ran in the November 2, 2021 Nashua Municipal Election for a truly tremendous job:
Alexander R. Comeau, Laura Colquhoun, Allison Dyer, Tyler Gouveia, Kristie Hart, Alicia Houston, Paula Johnson, Peter Lajoie, Lynn D. L’Heureux, Charles Lothrop, Laurie Ortolano, Tracy Pappas, Patrick “Chris” Parks, Daniel Richardson, Donald Scott, John Sullivan, Donald Whalen, and Kristin Wilson.
You all did a magnificent job with many of you running for office for the first time. You represented a huge threat to the Mayor and his incumbent army of candidates many of whom were dug in like Alabama ticks thanks to the help from their union allies.
To those of you who won your races, Bravo!
To those of you who were not victorious this time, feel good knowing that last Tuesday was a very close election. This is a major sign of lame duck momentum for Mayor Donchess and his regime. The close results of the votes show clear acknowledgment that the mayor and his swarm of pals are on the ropes and it is all thanks to YOU for stepping up.
Parents are beginning to step up to fight for their children’s education and it’s going to continue. The reports of “hostility” at Board of Education meetings are greatly exaggerated. Parents have a right to speak and talk about what is being taught to their children. Instead of applauding the passion of caring parents, BOE members want to stifle them and falsely label them as hostile. What are BOE members trying to hide? Parents will continue to send their rightful message and BOE members need to get a backbone and listen to them. Instead of kowtowing to the teacher’s union who are more interested in money than the children.
Citizens and taxpayers are awakening to the corruption of Nashua City leaders and they sent a strong message to the mayor and his cohorts: The people overwhelmingly support the Nashua Police Department and the Nashua Police Commission! The people have made it clear to Mayor Donchess to stop his power grab.
To the candidates listed above, your friends, families, neighbors and the people of the City of Nashua are very proud of you all, and we look forward to greater successes in the future.
We shall continue to send a message to Nashua city leadership. Our voices will be heard not stifled.
