U.S. is guilty

By Jeanne Cusson - Concord | May 23, 2025

We are complicit. If I paid for someone to kill one or more people because they stood in the way of my getting what I wanted, I would be guilty of murder. Just as guilty as the one who pulled the trigger. Correct?

The people in Gaza are being slaughtered because we, the people of the United States, are paying for the bombs. The Palestinians are told to go North, then to go South, then East then West. There is no escape. Our president goes to the Middle East and is lavished with gifts and praise from authoritarians, but says not a word about the humanitarian crisis that is going on just a short distance away. Oh, maybe he’ll do something in a month.

Please, for the love of all that is good (remember truth, justice and the American way…) tell your elected officials to stop supporting this war. Congress can, Congress must stop funding the murder of innocent civilians. The children in Gaza are no less precious than our children.

There are many Jewish people who are appalled by what is happening, just as many of us were against the wars in Vietnam and Iraq. This is not antisemitic; this is anti-Netanyahu and his government. “A Nation without empathy is just a crime syndicate with a flag.”
