Rosenwald supports women

By Catherine Qiu - Nashua | Oct 29, 2022

With the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, our reproductive rights are at risk. The Supreme Court has allowed state legislators to decide whether they want to put our reproductive rights in jeopardy. This is why we must amplify our voices and vote for representatives in Concord who will support reproductive choice.

Gov. Chris Sununu has made it clear that he is anti-choice. In June of 2021, Governor Chris Sununu signed the most regressive, anti-reproductive health care budget in New Hampshire. The Republican abortion ban included four detrimental actions: (1) No exceptions for rape, incest, or fetal abnormalities. (2) Criminal penalties for doctors, including a felony penalty of up to 7 years in prison and fines up to $100,000. (3) Medically unnecessary ultrasound requirements that add additional cost and burden, discouraging patients from receiving abortion care . (4) A significant underfunding of the New Hampshire Family Planning Program, preventing access to necessary reproductive health services. This led to 12,000 low-income Granite Staters losing access to cancer screenings!

We must vote for someone who will fight this budget: someone like Senator Cindy Rosenwald. Rosenwald was the sponsor of SB 399, a bill that would repeal the state’s new ban on abortions with its cruel requirement that women continue a non-viable pregnancy and threats to doctors. Rosenwald understands that every pregnancy is different, and only the individual patient and the doctor should determine the best course of action. Politicians have no place in such complex and emotional decisions. Senator Cindy Rosenwald has represented Nashua wisely and deserves to be re-elected to the State Senate in District 13 (Nashua wards 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9).
