As a resident of Nashua, I would like to commend Mayor Donchess’s opinion piece in the Nashua Telegraph highlighting the need for quality, affordable healthcare for all and the need for the federal government to extend the ACA subsidies for millions of Americans.

This week, I was able to meet and speak with Senator Hassan and talk with her about why, as a small business owner, the need to extend these healthcare subsidies is personal for me and my family. She listened to me and told me this is why she is fighting in DC to make sure that Congress strikes a deal to extend these critical provisions. She told me she would bring my story with her back to DC as motivation to make sure healthcare prices do not spike in the coming months for so many people across the country.

I know Senator Shaheen supports these extensions too. I hope they will both work with leadership to get this deal done – and get it done soon. The health and lives of thousands of Granite Staters are at stake.
