Voting is safe
Republicans obstructionists want to restrict the vote. They want to stop the majority vote so their dedicated few can overwhelm polling booths and punch above their weight. In doing so they follow the lead of colonial British occupiers.
The Declaration of Independence reveals the British as unworthy of colonists’ loyalty because they intentionally made voting places hard to reach. The British limited voting to the wealthy who had the time and means to travel to distant voting places and whose profile revealed them as toadies of the crown. Republicans also fear majority voting because they know when Democrats vote, they win. Nationally more people identify as Democrat than Republican. Since their extremist ideas cannot win, they attack the voting system with fantasy tales of fraud.
Realize, there is practically no such fraud in our elections. Almost none at all. We need vote protection as much as we need protection against meteorites, sudden glaciation, and killer penguins. They should be publicly humiliated for their lies, but Republicans ignore exposure and continue spouting extremist views.
Extremism may work for a while, but only a while. Soon enough their ideology shows itself as out of step with the nation, as addicted to ever more obnoxious rhetoric to hide their self-serving solutions, and as relying on aggressive actions to intimidate anyone who resists. Want to fight back? Vote in November’s safe and secure elections. And vote as though democracy depends on it. It does.
