The IRS has had significant problems for years, maybe decades, and yet no one in DC has fixed them. And now, President Joe Biden is floating an executive order that would increase their scope of work. In addition to the IRS being responsible for collecting and enforcing our tax code, President Biden and others in DC now want them to play a role in helping prepare taxes too. This is a clear conflict of interest for an agency that is already overwhelmed. Only in Washington, D.C., would anyone think this is a good idea.

My message to our leaders in Washington: Get the IRS to do the job at hand and do not give them any more power or additional work.
