John Schneller is a parent of two high school students and a champion of parental involvement in the education of our children.

As a member of the Bedford Curriculum Committee, John publicly and successfully confronted the administration on a divisive Critical Race Theory curriculum. John stood publicly against the imposition of an unnecessary, dangerous headgear device mandate for girls during athletic events. He did not wither when he voted against the school board and administration in order to have removed, pornographic materials selected by our librarians and administrators for school libraries. He was the primary driver of a mask-optional policy during a contentious debate when media-driven, public opinion often opposed this view. He expressed strong public opposition to a plan unilaterally implemented by the high school to wipe out poor grades during the pandemic, simply to make the administration look more favorable. John voted against the administration and school board on a budget-busting union contract that locked in a 10%+ tax increase over a three-year period which will lead to deep cuts in core educational services absent steep tax increases for the foreseeable future. In short, John is the only conservative voice on the school board who cares enough about parents, children, education and taxpayers to hold a seat on this otherwise directionless board.
