The entire school board in Bedford needs to be replaced. Their actions and attitudes over the last year have been abhorrent. They have done everything except put the children first. The impact of COVID-19 on children was non-existent from the beginning. Yet, the school board did everything in their power to intimidate the children, in the name of keeping them “safe.”

Every effort to “slow the spread” did nothing of the sort. The fact that school board members, along with Superintendent Mike Fournier, thought they had any capability to thwart a virus, was pure folly. Their mitigation efforts did nothing but harm children emotionally, while attempting to sedate their own fears. They are poor examples for our children, and need to be shown the door.

Numerous states and countries imparted no limitations on their schoolchildren. Their results were no different than ours. All the children fared well, unmasked. To not recognized the mistakes our school board made would be ignorance on our part. The entire school board needs to be replaced, along with Fournier.

Sean Monroe would be a welcome addition to the board.
