This NH legislative session has been deluged with an unusually high number of extreme, right-wing bills. Do we really wish to suppress voters, stifle citizen input to legislation, limit free speech, divert public school taxpayer money to private and parochial schools, defund women’s health, weaken the power of workers, and enable more gun violence?

Governor Sununu has called the budget process (where many of these extreme measures hide) “off the rails.” But will he have the strength to buck the pressure of outside radical interests and veto his own party’s budget?

NH Republicans have repeatedly rejected radical Trumpism at the ballot box. But by unwittingly electing extreme Republican and free-state libertarian NH legislators, they have lost control of their party. And we are losing control of our state.

If voters are paying attention, many may find that the Republican legislators they voted for do not represent their true values.
