Vote NO on corrupt politicians’ act

By Edward Jonson - Hudson | Apr 10, 2021

Over the decades Progressives have sought to create a campaign finance and regulation scheme to tilt elections to the left in perpetuity. Tired of having to work campaigning for office, or with fellow citizens to get buy-in on legislation, they’re trying to rig the game for all future battles in the improperly named “For the People Act of 2021.”

Their dream legislation, an 800-page monstrosity, containing more than a dozen sections, severely restricts our rights and makes it more difficult to use our First Amendment rights to influence public policy or election outcomes. One could be forgiven for wondering if the real purpose of this omnibus bill isn’t to achieve and then ensure continued political dominance of our public policy by progressives.

The various sections would abandon more than two centuries’ experience with state-level election administration and centralize this power in Washington, DC. State laws requiring voter ID would be overturned. States would be required to grow voter rolls by automatically registering clients of certain state agencies, even if they’re not citizens. A public financing scheme – yes, welfare for politicians! – is also there, with a six-to-one match (a contribution of $200 being matched by a federal grant of $1,200).

And it’s not just election laws that would change. The bill adds cumbersome new restrictions on those who join their fellow citizens exercising First Amendment rights to assemble and petition the government.

New Hampshire citizens please ask your Senator to vote NO on this terrible legislation.
